About Me

I genuinely enjoy my job, the people with whom I work, and the great, innovative stuff we get to be involved with on a daily basis.

I was very fortunate to start my career working at UC Santa Barbara, took my first tenure-track position at the University of Memphis, and also worked in the EdTech program at Sonoma State University. I definitely have an enterpreneurial side to me, and several years ago, I worked as a Director of Educational Services for an educational software firm. The last few years at BSU have been a fantastic experience--I've worked with such enthusiastic colleagues and students.

Current research interests:

  • Social network knowledge construction
  • Online teacher professional development
  • Instructional design in virtual worlds
  • Pedagogy of emergent technologies
