- diggCCMixter: Free music available under Creative Commons licenses.
- Flicker Creative Commons: Please check the license carefully. I usually avoid those that prohibit derivative works. Always provide attribution when you use Flickr content under CC license.
- Friendly Music: Low-cost music for your YouTube videos.
- Internet Archive: Moving images, audio, and texts are available.
- Internet Archive Search Tips: Find out how to search for content that is licensed under a Creative Commons license or available in the public domain.
- Internet Archive Stock Footage: Much of this is either in the public domain or available under a Creative Commons license.
- Legal Music for Videos: Find music for your video soundtracks that is available under a Creative Commons License.
- Movietools.info: Free 2D and 3D animations for your video projects.
- Partners in Rhyme: This site provides both royalty free and free sound files. Do check terms of use for any files you download.
- PICOL: Pictorial Communication Language. Icons are available for download and they are provided under a Creative Commons license.
- Prelinger Archives: Obtain old video clips that are typically in the public domain or available under a Creative Commons license.

- Sound Effects Archive: Download free sound effects for your video productions.
- YouTube Audio Swap: Apply a music track to your video after it has been uploaded to YouTube.

Audio Recording/Editing
- Audacity: Free, cross-platform sound editor. See the user manual to learn how to work with the software.

Browser-Based Video Editing (Remix videos in the Web browser)
- Adobe Premiere Express: Edit video in the browser for hosting at PhotoBucket.

- YouTube's Video Editor: Basic editing within YouTube.

- GoAnimate: Make animated cartoons directly in the browser.

Image Editing
- Adobe Fireworks: Great for web graphics or images used in video slideshows.
- GIMP: Free and powerful with tools that are similar to Photoshop.
- Google Picasa: Free and works great to organize images. Basic image editing tool are included.
Screen Recording
Browser Based:
- Screencast-O-Matic: Online screen recording program. It requires the use of a Java Applet. Free and pro versions are available. There is a 15 minute limit on free recordings.
- Screenr: Another online screen recording program. Make screencasts for Twitter and YouTube. Free and subscription accounts available. There is a 5 minute limit on free recordings.
Windows or Mac:
- Jing: This is an affordable screen recording software that is cross platform. The pro version allows you to produce a YouTube friendly video clip and it is very inexpensive. The only drawback is that it only records 5 minutes of video. Tutorials are available at the Jing Help Center.
- Camtasia Studio: This has a PowerPoint recording tool that works as a type of screen recording and also records audio narrations simultaneously. Camtasia Studio Tutorials: Learn how to use Camtasia.

- Any Video Converter: Free and purchased versions available.
- AVS Video Converter: Convert between most video file types.
- Mouvavi Video Converter: Software for Windows to convert video from one format to another.

- Zamzar: Free online file conversion tool.

Learning Domains
