Faculty Advising

i. Faculty advising consists primarily of career counseling and mentoring. Faculty can recommend specific courses or strategies to assist you in moving into a new career.

ii. Faculty advising also consists of specific consultation as a subject-matter-expert to students.

iii. Faculty also serve as research mentors to students enrolled in independent study, master's theses, graduate assistantships, or collaborative research projects.

iv. Faculty advisors are your first level of contact in problem resolution. If you find yourself in a dispute with an instructor, falling behind in coursework, etc., they are a phone call or email away.
